Clarissa Ryder has wanted to be a painter her whole life and her day has finally paid off! Full scholarship to UCLA art school. One snag though, she must leave everything behind, including her "true love."
But as time passes, the world changes and so does she. There's a new love and a new life that brings her to a world without painting. It has the stability she always yearned for, but after bringing her new fiance and life back to her old, she begins to see that her true love might not have been either, but the art that lead her there.
Our story follows five characters throughout seven years of their young adult lives in a time where the only thing that's certain, is that nothing is.
Simply seeking to do something different during film school, in 2006 Chapman University students Sassy Mohen and Dillon Morris decided to be the first students to make a feature film, Happy Holidays. The project was immediately labeled "Too Ambitious," by Chapman and was denied support, but they refused to take no for an answer.
Through the then uncharted territory of "social media," they released behind the scenes podcasts on a new platform called youtube, myspace and social networking site thefacebook. With their constant interactive media updates, their website garnished over 100,000 hits worldwide. They were able to raise the funds for the film, complete the project, screen it around the country, receive distribution and turn a profit.
